We were on a nice walk downtown Oswego with Shane's Mom (Nannie) when we were looking at the firetrucks and a couple of the firemen invited us in to see the trucks and ambulances up close!!

Back to Assateague...July 2009

I realize it's October, but I must go back to catch up as usual...and we can't leave out the tradition of Assateague Island, MD. This year the girls finally had a cousin to play with. Welcome Vi! We also can't forget that is was Erica's first vacation to Assateague. We all had a blast...in spite the fact that the week started with setting up camp in a monsoon rain! After all these years there is still always a first to be experienced. However, the double rainbow that remained when then rain stopped promised us a great week ahead. Here are just a few pics (from hundreds) to remember the week...

JULY 8, 2009 Erica's 1st BIRTHDAY!

It's so nice to have a summer birthday. It was a week long of celebrating too!

July 4th we celebrated with Grandma and Grandpa. Erica wasn't too sure about the whole candle thing and was quite frightened by the end!

The girls have made it a tradition now to go to lunch with just our family at Chuck E. Cheese on their actual birthday. Daddy meets us from work if he doesn't have the day off. So Erica's birthday was no different. Again, the cupcake was not a hit! And gift opening help from her sisters was frowned upon!

Then there was the big back yard bash...thankfully, the sun came out and all was well! Thanks to everyone who celebrated with us!
