The Journey Begins...

Erica is 10 days old now and has been home for a week. We are beginning to adjust to the new chaos! Of course Grandma is still here helping so reality won't hit until Monday morning when it's just me and the girls!! Here are some new pictures enjoying our new sister!!

Storytime....Julia is so proud to be a big sister now and not just the little sister any more!!

Erica's 1st bath...and of course the girls were right there to help, each with their own washrag.

Our precious princess, Erica Iris. We love you so much! You are a blessing and a miracle!

Less than 24 hrs...

It's hard to believe we will get to meet Erica in about 22hrs.!! Shane is at work today and the girls and I are running a bunch of little errands...some necessary...some just to keep me busy today and help the day pass. Here is one more belly shot that we took last night...

Tomorrow Shane and I will head to the hospital around 6:30am and my c-section is scheduled for 7:45am. So, we'll try to post some updated info about Erica and pictures from the hospital in the next couples days!! Please send your prayers our way! Thanks!!

Church Picnic

Yesterday was the annual church picnic. We typically spend the afternoon with our good friends Mark, Laura, Emma, and Joshua Chatfield...and this year was no different...

Of course we started with the pony rides...

A big hug between good friends as they ran across the field to greet each other!!

Hi Mom!

How do we look Mom?

One more family picture before we become 5!!!!!!

Vacation Bible School

Kylia was able to attend VBS last week for the first time. She went to the little Methodist Church down the street where she'll be attending Pre-K in the fall. There were a lot of fun activities throughout the week, but I think the songs were probably her favorite part. She went 9 to Noon Monday through Friday so Julia and I had a lot of fun one-on-one time that we rarely have. It was nice to have that time before Erica arrives.

PrairieFest

One summer event we always enjoy doing is Prariefest in Oswego. This year Kylia had an encore performance for her ballet/tap class. Since we went on a Saturday, Dad was able to come too and the girls even got to enjoy all the little carnival rides and of course the pony rides. It was a pretty warm day, so I spent most of my time waving and taking pictures from a shady bench!!

Home Depot Craft Time!

One thing the girls love to do is craft time at Home Depot. Usually it's a Daddy time, but this time I went along to take pictures. Riding in their fun carts is always a special treat too!

Julia just enjoyed hitting the table with the big hammer...

...while Kylia was all business...

...but in the end she was quite proud of her catamaran.
